Giggle Magazine's PR and Marketing Director, Allen Haynes, had an awesome experience at the Grand Inauguration/ Ribbon-Cutting/belated Grand Opening of Fracture on August 9 and we wanted to share some pics with you all.

If you haven't heard of Fracture, you're missing out! This unique company creates customized, vibrant glass displays of your favorite photographs and memories that can be displayed pretty much anywhere!

Check out Fracture's website to see some examples of what a "fracture" is and we guarantee you'll want one for your home. Giggle Magazine even has a few fractures around the office.

Home Decor: Family Recipes

Most people have a traditional family recipe, one that is a classic dish with an original twist, is always requested for potlucks and parties or is a secret only shared amongst fellow family members.

Some recipes that come to mind are my great grandmother's recipe for arroz con pollo (the Cuban version of chicken and rice), my grandmother's authentic Italian meatball recipe (evidently I don't get this one 'til marriage...we'll see about that) and my mom's signature key lime pie recipe.

All of these recipes have very different origins, but they reflect the diversity of my family and the generational love of cooking that my whole family possesses, which is pretty cool.

And just like the history that is captured through photographs and displayed prominently on the walls of our homes, why shouldn't our family culinary histories also be displayed?

We love these ideas of taking hand written family recipes and framing them for some truly original home decor!

What are some recipes you would display?

Display recipes using multicolored and differently sized frames.

Take your recipe to a printing store and blow it up to put in a large frame.

Hang recipes in frames using ribbon.

Keep it Together!

With the kids on summer vacation you may notice the house is a little more disorganized than usual, or maybe your house is more put together since all of the extracurriculars of the school year have slowed down.

Whatever the case, getting stuff around the house organized always seems to be at the top of the to-do list yet it's never the task that gets crossed off first.

Here are some really simple (and home-decor-friendly) solutions for getting the messiest areas in order!

For all those toys that get thrown around the backyard, these buckets are great.

Even if you don't have a whole room dedicated to arts and crafts (something that both kids and Pinterest-loving parents want), this is a great way to keep supplies from getting tangled.

Having a central command station with individual folders for a every family member along with a dry-erase board for important messages is a smart way to prevent things from disappearing into a pile of "stuff to get to later."

Last, but not least, the car. It's a whole other world in there, if you don't keep up with it you can lose books, articles of clothing, expensive sports gear, important papers...you get the picture. This cool contraption is an easy DIY project, but you could use a plain hanging organizer as well.

The key to getting back on track with organization is take it one step at a time. Keep calm and giggle on!
